Water polo: Heliopolis retains the Cup

In continuation of Heliopolis Club’s excellence in water polo, the 2006 team of Heliopolis Club achieved a deserved victory over Maadi Club with a score of 5/3 in the National Championship.
With this deserved victory, Heliopolis Club was able to win the General Shield after its score rose to 423 points, 10 points separated from Al-Ahly Club, its closest competitor to the Shield.
Omar Tariq won the Best Player Cup in the 2006 stage, Youssef Al-Issawi, the best goalkeeper in the cup.
